The plane looked as if it wanted to crash on the trees below
First stop an Irish bar and everyone sounds Canadian
There we met a little strange girl, she was drunk on red-red wine
She poetry and wanted to blow her own head off

Is this expected behaviour up here?

Then we hit another bar, mirrors on the walls alluded to a packed room
when in fact there were only thirty or so
Met a girl with backwards eyes, her friend was obsessed
with banking, and growing up and up and old

We found no Eddie Vedder
No Kurt Cobain
No Chris Cornell
And where is Frasier Crane?
No Griffey Jnr.
No hip parade
You gotta stand up on the hotel roof and watch the boats out in the bay

The Sub-Pop shop was long gone
There were no fish flying in the market
A guy sold t-shirts advertising the festival of rain
It runs from the 1st of Jan, til the 31st of December
and that's all year, isn't it?
